Neck threading at Kurves is $5 on our booking page and takes about 10 minutes. It removes hair under the jawline and on the front of the neck. The slot is longer than the chin because the area is bigger.
Who books neck threading?
People with hair under the jaw that shows in profile, people who find stray hairs that carry on from the chin down the neck, and people who wear their hair up and want a clean line. Some book it with chin threading so the whole jawline is done at once.
Is neck threading always $5?
Neck threading is $5 and takes about 10 minutes.
What does neck threading feel like?
A light, fast pull. The skin on the neck is soft, and you may be asked to tilt your head back or to the side. For many people it feels milder than the upper lip.
Is threading right for the neck?
For small and medium areas, yes. The American Academy of Dermatology notes that threading is not suitable for large areas, so if you want a very wide area cleared, we can talk about what makes sense at your visit. The same page says threading causes little irritation, which helps on sensitive neck skin. If you use isotretinoin or a prescription retinoid, ask your doctor before hair removal.
What should I do afterward?
Avoid tight collars, scarves or rubbing on the area for the rest of the day if you can. Skip scrubs and heavily scented lotions there for the day, and let any pinkness settle on its own.
